The magazine maintains the most comprehensive database of CEOs, CFOs, chairmen, presidents, and outside directors serving on the boards of all U.S. banks and thrifts, as well as the CEOs of the top 500 largest credit unions and the top 50 international banks. The database includes relevant information such as a director's affiliation with a company, the number of boards on which he or she serves, and demographic data. To keep the database current, Bank Director's team maintains constant contact with financial institutions and aggressively tracks merger and acquisition activity, newly-charters institutions, and institution closings.
Bank Director hosts a variety of conferences and director-training programs throughout the year designed to increase the effectiveness of directors. The publication's flagship conference is its annual merger and acquisition event, which has become the premier M&A event for the financial services industry.
