The Advanced Certification Workshop is for directors with five or more years of board experience or the equivalent professional experience.
Candidates must first complete an application on BankDirector.com to enroll in the Advanced Director Certification Program. Once accepted, participants can attend the Advanced Certification Workshop.
To receive certification after being accepted into the Advanced Director Certification Program, participants must attend the Advanced Certification Workshop on Sunday, September 7 and designated sessions at Bank Director’s Bank Board Forum. Both the Advanced Certification Workshop and the Bank Board Forum are held in Marco Island, FL.
Attending the Advanced Certification Workshop and receiving certification through Bank Director’s Advanced Director Certification Program sends a clear message to investors and state and federal regulators that participants take their fiduciary duties seriously and want to be top performers on their bank’s board.
The Bank Board Forum and the Advanced Certification Workshop are separate events. However, participants enrolled in the Advanced Director Certification Program are required to attend both. For more information on the Bank Board Forum, please click here.
Those wanting to attend the Advanced Certification Workshop must first be enrolled in the Advanced Director Certification Program. The registration cost for the Workshop is included in the Advanced Director Certification Program fee. This fee also includes workshop materials, exclusive Bank Director resources and registration for the Bank Board Forum. *The program fee does not include travel or hotel accommodations.
Due to commitments and expenses, all cancellations after August 15, 2025 will be subject to a $300 processing fee. We regret that no refunds will be given after August 29, 2025; however, substitute participants are welcomed. DirectorCorps, Inc. assumes no liability for any nonrefundable travel, hotel or related expenses incurred by registrants.
You may receive a certificate of participation in the Workshop, however, to become Bank Director Certified, you must also attend designated sessions from the Bank Board Forum. DirectorCorps, Inc., the parent company of Bank Director, is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.
All of Bank Director’s education programs are classified as “Basic” program level with no prerequisites or advance preparation required for participation in these events. All events fall under “Group Live” delivery method. At the event, attendees will be required to keep a time sheet, and attendance at sessions will be monitored in order for attendees to receive the appropriate number of credits and a certificate of completion following the event.
