Who should attend the Corporate Governance Workshop?
Those new directors to a bank’s board, and individuals who are interested in serving on a bank’s board.
Members of Bank Director’s Director Certification Program must complete one of the two Corporate Governance Workshops – either in person or virtually. The one-day in person workshop is conducted in advance of our annual Bank Board Training Forum and our Bank Audit & Risk Conference. To enhance the learning experience, course curriculum and materials are provided during the session.
Why should I attend the Corporate Governance Workshop?
The Corporate Governance Workshop is designed for individuals who would like to qualify and serve on a bank’s board, and those new bank directors with 2 years experience or less. During the workshop, Bank Director covers critical areas individuals must understand in order to be an effective board member.
Is the Corporate Governance Workshop part of the 2024 Bank Board Training Forum?
The Bank Board Training Forum and the Corporate Governance Workshop are separate events. Attendees of the Workshop are welcome to register for the Bank Board Training Forum. For more information on the Bank Board Training Forum, please click here.
How much does this workshop cost and what does the fee cover?
For non-program members the individual registration rate is $1,295.
For Bank Director Certification Program members, the registration fee is included in your program membership. For more information, please contact our Bank Services Department at [email protected] or 615-777-8461.
These fees include all workshop activities, materials and meals at the event site. This price does not include travel or hotel accommodations.
What if I need to cancel my reservation at the conference?
Due to commitments and expenses, all cancellations after August 16, 2024 will be subject to a $300 processing fee. We regret that no refunds will be given after August 30, 2024; however, substitute participants are welcomed. DirectorCorps, Inc. assumes no liability for any nonrefundable travel, hotel or related expenses incurred by registrants.
Can I receive a certificate of attendance?
You may receive a certificate of participation in the Workshop, however, to become Bank Director Certified, participants must participate in the annual Bank Director Certification Program. For more information, please contact our Bank Services Department at [email protected] or 615-777-8461.
Is CPE credit available for this conference?
DirectorCorps, Inc., the parent company of Bank Director, is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.
All of Bank Director’s education programs are classified as “Basic” program level with no prerequisites or advance preparation required for participation in these events. All events fall under “Group Live ” delivery method. At the event, attendees will be required to keep a timesheet, and attendance at sessions will be monitored in order for attendees to receive the appropriate number of credits and a certificate of completion following the event.
