Kimberly Ellwanger is a director at Heritage Financial Corporation. She is an accomplished board member and corporate leader with multi-disciplinary expertise, including strategic planning, governance, compensation and corporate affairs. Ms. Ellwanger is the chair of the governance and nominations committee, is a member and past chair of the compensation committee and has served on the audit, risk and technology committees.

Prior to this role, Ms. Ellwanger was senior director of corporate affairs and associate general counsel at Microsoft Corporation and prior to that a partner at Perkins Coie in Seattle. She has been involved in numerous civic and professional activities including serving on the boards of the Northwest Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors (“NACD”), past chair of the community foundation of South Puget Sound and past chair of the Washington Council on International Trade. She has completed NACD’s comprehensive program of study to become an NACD leadership fellow.

Greg Maurer is the chair of the board at The National Bank of Indianapolis. Mr. Maurer is the founder and managing director of Heron Capital Venture Fund and Heron Capital Equity Partners. He is co-owner, co-founder and executive chairman of the board of Arcamed, LLC, an orthopedic precision manufacturing company managed by Heron Capital Equity Partners.

Mr. Maurer served on the boards of directors of SCP Limited, NeoChord and Aptus Technologies, and led Heron’s investment in Scale Computing and IDev Technologies, which was acquired by Abbott in 2013. Mr. Maurer manages privately held real estate investment companies in Indianapolis.

Mr. Maurer serves as vice president and director on the board of the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis, as chairperson of the Jewish Community Relation Council’s civic mission initiative and as a director on the boards of Goodwill Foundation of Central and Southern Indiana and Urban Legacy Lands Initiative.

Emily McCormick is Vice President of Editorial & Research for Bank Director. Emily oversees research projects, from in-depth reports to Bank Director’s annual surveys on M&A, risk, compensation, governance and technology. She also manages content for the Bank Services Program, including Bank Director’s Online Training Series. In addition to speaking and moderating discussions at Bank Director’s in-person and virtual events, Emily writes and edits for Bank Director magazine, BankDirector.com and Bank Director’s weekly newsletter, The Slant. She started her career in the circulation department at the Knoxville News-Sentinel and graduated summa cum laude from The University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and International Business.
